The real evolution of 2d beat m up games, SfIII3rd by malaka27 on August 5, 2009

First, sorry for ma low english level, i´m a spanish-player. Since 1999, when i see the fistr st3 (new generation) in arcade i "trip" for the grafics (naomi i love you)and whit the new fight sistem (more intituive, like kof, and you can rush, the contra alpha are to much natural, only 1 special...) after i meet all characters, i can see and big equilibre bethwen is. the secon impac incluid more extras, more charateres, and tre semi-special atack (hoduken+3punch). but the real arcade revolution come whit this game. 3rd strike got some thigs curious, like the android named "Q" (Only can play vs Q if you are a harder gamer) i thik is a copy of "K" of the kof99. Whit only 1 credit you can see all characters in game and fight whit the middlel of this, the posibiliti of choice your next rivel is very interest appealing. The level is lowes at first, but hardest in final. In can play whit it years now in my pc (Mame)whit arcade stck. before on Dreamcast and xbox. I think thatsf3 saga is the best of Street fighter hystory, and this game is better tha STIV, now on your mame. Enyoi it

Thanks. Malaka27

Best SF game to date (and that even includes SF4)!! by Nedemis on July 20, 2009

There's very few games that really keep me interested for long. That's especially so in the flooded fighting game genre. SF3: 3rd Strike is honestly the first game that has kept me coming back for more then a year. Perfect character balance, a great counter system and it's simple enough yet deep enough so all gamers can find some enjoyment in it. Worth the time it takes to set up! Easily. :)
Best fighting game EVER! by xiter on May 15, 2009

This game is very balanced, reason that it still been played in Japan. Defense system (parry), EX moves, just one super to choose... This things make this game equilibrated and competitive. Every character has it own "way of play".

Indispensable for all fighting games fan.

A Great Game with Bad Characters by wigmo on December 28, 2008

To start off this game has some good graphics, nice combos and still some of the original gameplay with characters such as Ryu, Chun-li, Ken, and Akuma. That's the good part.

Bad part? The rest of the new generation characters aren't even worth playing as. Besides maybe one or two of better characters are fun to play as but the rest are worthless.

Perhaps the best Capcom has managed in terms of technique and skill required. Parry is one of the best features any fighting game could come up with, and it requires skill to master it. A big classic and in a few months we'll know if SF3 will retain the crown or will it be passed down to the upcoming SF4.

Well i'm not sure how I can acuratly review this rom since I don't have any download credits.

I've been a big fan of the SF series since it came out way back in '84. Many new series have evovled, and while some sucked, the Street Fighter 3 series was IMO very well done. Many hardcore fans didn't like some of the new characters and the way the gameplay style didn't evolve, but I think the addaption of new characters in the SF universe just made it that much more fun to play. No being limited to the usual back-forth, "fireball" motions was a refreshing change.
