Still Best TMNT game to date! by syk_skillz on May 13, 2009

I grew up with TMNT and still is a major fan of the franchise in general. I have been through the good and the crap. I remember getting this game and was up all night playing it at about 10 years old. I never knew it was a port of the second arcade game. At the time I never knew there was a second arcade game. In fact last week was the first time I ever played the Arcade version of the game. Both versions are similar in many ways where in others they are a lot different which balances each out. The game is pretty much your typical side scroll beat-em-up but with many small things that make it one of the best of its genre.
Pros:
1) Better boss choices then Arcade version (Slash replaces the Mud Monster, Rat King, Beebop and Rocksteady, extra Shredder Battle)
2) Throwing Foot Soldiers at the screen almost at will :)
3) Extra/Better Stages (Technodrome level is a very cool addition and Neon Night-Riders is better then the Arcade version
4) Simple but very fun gameplay
5) Better final fight with Shredder then Arcade version
Cons:
1) No Pizza Power Song (understandable since the SNES could not handle a true song)
2) No voice-overs like the Arcade version
3) Graphics is only slightly worse then the Arcade version (still good however
4) Can be beat in only 30-45 minutes (Not it\'s fault since most games at the time was forced to be pretty short)
The game is so good it is now being remade in 3D for Xbox Live!
