Pocky & Rocky is one of those games you've never heard about, but once you stumble upon and try it, you are totally flabbergasted how you could overlook this great piece of entertainment.
Pocky & Rocky is a mix between beat em up and shooter - You wander along a course, killing as many enemies as possible on the way. Both short range and long range attacks are avaible, and your long range attacks can be upgraded via extras just as in side scrolling shooters. Both Pocky and Rocky also have a special attack and each of them work differently, so you should plan how to use your attack points well.
The graphics and music are pretty cute and charming, but don't get fooled by that - This game is actually pretty challenging and not as easy-going as it seems. The levels constantly provide you with various obstacles and surprises, bringing fun and sometimes frustration at the same time.
Summed up, this is an overlooked classic that absolutely excels in multiplayer. It is fun to pick up if you're going to play alone, but the co-op mode is where the real party is held! Just don't give up easily and give this challenge a go!
