TIP: if you see an egg sparkle at the start of a level make sure you don't die and eat the egg that sparkles last and a warp gate will open up that will transport you to many levels ahead instead of just going to the next level.
Nice pace of play, great graphics and if you ever watched terminator 2 when the T-1000 enters the arcade and see's John Conner for the first time, you will see two girls playing Trog at the entrance to the arcade, the same company went on to make the T2 gun game and pinball machine (both very good games)
Basically a Pac Man clone, albeit alot more entertaining, TROG! centers around the story of two baby dinosaurs. Cute as Baby Jesuses and almost as innocent, they nevertheless risk their lives every day inexplicably collecting eggs. Unfortunately they live on an island full of malevolent Cyclopes who, upon any slight misstep by either of the baby dinos, will kill and eat them, literally right before your eyes (with a knife and fork no less).
Your job is to collect all the eggs on each stage, gaining points and effectively depriving your enemies and presumably their children of much-needed sustenance, causing them to suffer and starve (presumably). Which is good! There are three levels of difficulty, all awarding increasing numbers of points for various achievements; I recommend playing the easiest level, as the stages are the same but easier to play, and also because nobody gives a shet about points in 2008.
Conclusion: Download this game for sure! (Unless you don't own a physical copy of the original ROM, that is! I, for one, own 17 original arcade ROMS! That's twenty-three thousand dollars worth of ROMs!!!)
