GunBird is my faverite scrolling shooters.
it offers you both quality grapics and fun game play. it plays in a similar manner to the old plane games.
one of the things about the game that makes it diffrent from others games of its type, is your choice of charecters, rather then a choice of planes.
you can chose from 5 charecters 1.a technolagy nut with a flight back pack and a ray gun, 2.a which on a broom, 3.a robot, 4.a sexed up elf on a cloud, and 5.another techno nut riding a small helicopter.
each charecter has a diffrent form of main weapon plus, a large area attack, and a short range attack that dose alot of damage. with of corse there being power ups for each as you play.
most of the levels put you aginst ground based anti air units, with a boss at the end. the spray patterns arnt unbeatable but still challenging. most of the bosses are a robot of some form, until the finale levels where they take on more mystic based themes. All of the bosses are done rally well and look awsome.
the basic plot line is, you are trying to gather all the peaces of a magic mirror so that you can summon a ancient genie to grant your wish, depending on the charecter, depends on what the wish is, and each one has 2 choices in the end.
