Being able to choose any player with hyper abilities gave a serious sensation in the early 90's. It became so popular that some arcade owners restricted players from selecting certain characters of the game. Boy that was a time then, people spending all their month's allowance in 30 minutes or so just to get an edge over their friends. I personally thank ROM-WORLD to giving me a chance to share it with my kids now. by drakendoder on December 26, 2008 For hours, days, weeks as a kid i stayed at the campsite watching the magical intro of streetfighter. Endless repeat intervened by a small sample of about 10 seconds of an orchestrated fight between 2 cpu fighters. So much worth the wait!! Then repeat again. I got an allowance on the campsite at the start of every week from my parents. Threw it in, got my head bashed in one exhale, and had nothing left for the rest of the week. Was it worth it??
