I guess I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the terrible game that is "Friday the 13th." I remember going over a friend of mine's house, because he had the NES. I had the Master System, and was always displeased. I also had the Genesis, while I marvelled at everyone else's Super NES. But I digress. I spent many long hours with my friend trying to get to see Jason in the game. It really does take a while, and I don't think you can ever really kill him, but I guess that's reminiscent of the franshise. Really crummy baddies such as crows, wolves, and zombie-guys who pop up from the ground make up the majority of the action. Lighting fireplaces take up alot of time, and logically, I really don't see why you'd light a fireplace at Camp Crystal Lake. Wouldn't that just attract Jason? Hmmm. I was obsessed with all things horror, so naturally I loved the game at the time. I loved the music from the opening screen on, and I think that that's probably the only thing that still holds up for me. I guess it was survival horror before there was a term for it, but when your most frequest weapons are rocks to throw, I think I still feel a little gyped out of my time. I'll keep the memories, you can keep the game.
