There are only two negatives that I can think of, which cause it to get an 8 instead of a 10. One is trying to keep all the Chinese names straight. Admittedly, it's not the game's fault, but when you can't remember which city is Lu Yong, or whether it's Ma Deng or Ma Dao you wanted to put in your party...well, you're going to blame the game. The other is that the game doesn't know what it's trying to be. It's not an rpg, precisely, but it's certainly not a strategy game. Since this is October 28th, the following analogy occurs; Destiny of an Emperor is a war strategy game (Romance of the Three Kingdoms, to be precise) that decided to be an RPG for Halloween. It looks like an RPG, it feels like an RPG, and it plays like an RPG, but there are some annoyingly un-RPG elements to it; I'm looking at you, tactics system. You must be a member to write reviews.
