The reason I say it is vastly underrated is because, since on the surface the graphics may seem a bit primitive and since you only start with a knife, people don't get far enough into the game to notice the depth, the humor and the creativity. Getting through the game taxes your brain much more than your trigger finger. For example, there is a level boss that are two wind-up robots who take turns winding each other up when they die down. In order to defeat them, you must use your grenades to keep them apart, so that after one of them needs to be wound up, you keep the other away from him long enough so they both need to be wound up. Throughout the game, there are tons of similar instances where the solution to a problem is not readily obvious and requires some thought to proceed, and a good sense of humor and fun is spread throughout.
The levels/planets are somewhat linear, but you have some control over the order you tackle them. The fun of the game lies in going from one crazy fun planet to a completely different one where you face a new set of challenges and surprises.
Anyways, check this game out!
