Wonder Boy gets a medevil makeover and it's amazing by Paulthelion on October 19, 2008
Wow this is the second game I ever owned (Wonder Boy being the first) and it still kicks ass today. So alot has changed since the first game. It went from leaf skirted, hatchet throwing straight forward side scroller to a medevil action RPG (which is the consistant direction the rest of the Wonder Boy games go through). Now Wonder boy replaces his hatchet with a sword and is off to slay a dragon that enslaves the realm of Monster Land. Wonder Boy doesn't have to worry about his vitality levels anymore but now he must collect money so he can buy from shops weapons, gear, and items to help him progress through the game. Thankfully no more one hit kills. You now have a life bar and the more points you get you'll increase your life bar capacity, sweet. What else is sweet about this game? well everything. The graphics are great, the gameplay is solid and story is more in depth as go from different towns meeting important characters that help you in your quest for the dragon throughout the game. The game can be challanging at times but once you get the hang of things you find the difficulty is quite fair in this game. In conclusion this is another definite must have for the SMS hands down.
