personally i think sonic 3 was the most creative and funnest sonic game of all time!! its very creative, the music is very catchy, and the level designs are amazing. i have to admit there are some parts that just make you want to pull your hair out. one part a lot of people were stuck at was that barrel part at the carnival zone. that use to irritate me so much....until i figured out all you have to do is press up and down to move the barrel. other than that problem its still a great game, and for any sonic fan that hasn't played this game (which is very unlikely)i would highly recommend you to play it!!! if you wanna have some real fun then try out debug mode, it will entertain for hours

The Sonic the Hedgehog games I played the SHIT out of when I was a kid on my genesis. With a character that I loved playing and a villian that I loved defeating. With lots of high speed action and a level of difficulty that challenged you without annoying you. I recently bought \"Sonic\'s Ultimate genesis collection\" for my PS3 with ALL the Sonic games that were on the Genesis so I can relive a very fond memory of my childhood.

Of Sonic 1,2, and 3 to me this one is the best. It included many features from both Sonic 1 and 2, which made it amazing. They scrapped certain things from other games and added other key things. It is great, the best of all, to me. I never played it when I was young because I couldn't afford it, now I know what I was missing.

*Escapist/surreal settings
*Catchy music
*Visually pleasing art style
*Responsive controls
*An overall pleasant and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Cons
*It's too easy to be killed for stupid reasons
*Some of the music tracks become irritating
*Only 3-4 hours of gameplay if you don't try to get the chaos emeralds and use savestates.
*Stages where you may need to look up help on how to get past them.

I definitely suggest you play this game.

Ah but if this game had been released a few years sooner...How it would have been a crushing blow during the 16bit wars, but alas it didn't not to say that it wasn't a fine addition to any console collectors stash.

If anyone had any complaints about the Genesis' ability to produce vibrant colors for its games this one definitely shut them up. Not only that but the in game music(although kinda kiddie) actually took a step up as well. Challenging but fun this on definitely should not be overlooked even if for nostalgic reasons.

This game is awesome! Its one of the good old games i'd have to say. This game has alot of fun parts to play at! I didnt like though, that the games beginning had no storyline. Other than that i'd say this game was perfect!

Debug mode is fun to do! And becoming Super Sonic is fun also! The special stages are hard at times, but REALLY fun when you beat them!

I'd have to give this game only 8 stars though because of a few things. But still 8/10? Thats REALLY good!
