Awesome game Street of rage fanboy since 1995 by heaven_shadow on January 24, 2009 since this game has been out for such a long time ive been a fan for sega but let me get to the point this game has such a innovative for fun the beat'em up throw'em up and shut them down was such a good way to get the peoples attention but what really inspired me was the difficulty level and the music on the game like for example stage 7 who here doesn't like throwing people on a moving elevator lol... truly a great game for its time 10 stars raging on the streets by johnbabes on December 17, 2008 Rating: 9/10 All of the streets of rage games 1/3 are just simply the best games on the megadrive when they came out and this being the first of 3 was almost an instint hit i still have this for the MD as well as the fighter stick (6) buttons and while playing through this again it did bring back some memories the graphics are very good music and sound fx are also good it's the game play which is spot on not to hard and not to easy the down side it's way to short 6 stages and the baddies are just to easy to kill the big bosses are not that hard to get rid off that guy with the boomerrang :) over all nice game and of course you have to get SOR2 and SOR3 my mark for SOR1 8/10 The Best Sega Game Of All Time by Enforcer on November 21, 2008 Rating: 10/10 This is a great game you get to walk around and fight villians in 8 great levels this game is a great reminder of my childhood and how Sega was the best console because of games like this A good start. The elements are the same kind of "beat them all." The great merit of street of rage is the easy gameplay and challenge possible to be finished (unlike in Final Fight). The only disability was the graphics, bad when compared to Final Fight and with small characters. At any rate, these problems were resolved with later versions. Streets of Rage is the type of game that you can play at any time of the day and in any mood. Fast action, good level design, pretty cool bosses and immense 2 player fun in the co-op story mode. You can pick up weapons troughout the levels and use them to take your opponents down faster. Baseball bats, knives, broken glass bottles, you name it. If you havn't already, play this game.
