The spirit of the whole game reminds me of Metul Slug. Ok, this is not the same kind of game, but I only found this typical funny ambiance in these two games. The graphics style...cartoon style, hitting colors, giant bosses, and of course their high quality. Beautiful music too. This is some serious work, in every details. This is one of my favourite games on genesis, definitively. A solid platformer by boff on April 11, 2009 Rating: 8/10 Rocket Knight is a solid platformer, though it is a bit on the simplistic side. The enemies aren't very tough, the bosses aren't really complex, and the levels aren't that difficult. However, the game still has its charm, which makes it worth playing. The sprites are great, the music is memorable, and the jetpack feature adds a new concept into the genre that makes the game enjoyable. Original gameplay, great controls and some of the catchiest music you'll ever hear in a genesis title. The levels range from classic run and jump to side scroller shooter to taking control of a giant robot and battling rock-em sock-em robots style. A hidden gem that was overlooked and you owe it to yourself to give this a try. More or less. by ExxoD on September 29, 2008 This game is a decent game. the graphics are really smooth and fluid, but i dont buy the rat in a blue armor concept. the gameplay becomes repetitive like in most platformers.
