It's a hybrid between a puzzle game and some sort of mutated-gauntlet-style action game. The visuals are simplistic but intriguing. The music is the only kind of its type- it cycles every few seconds, but conveys the atmosphere perfectly. The game is challenging and gameplay can be tricky to learn, which is probably the main reason it hasn't gotten more positive feedback. The levels are small, but there are plenty of them, and it will take many plays for you to master the later ones (if that's possible.) For the simple style, some of the characters can be impressively weird, but only a few levels capture this same quality. Overall it's the proverbial "creative game design that works in practice", something which UPL did not always get right, but got in spades with this. You must be a member to write reviews.
